Enjoy unforgettable spoken word performances that explore the many facets of black, LGBTQIA+ life through characters so real that they feel familiar. Will the Sanctuary become just another safe space taken from the district too soon or will this time be different?

Jonathan and Andre are best friends who have loved 'Waiting to Exhale' since they were kids. Now as black gay men, their appreciation for Terry McMillan’s classic deepens when their adult lives seem to mirror the situations of the woman of the film they love so much.
