
About Us
Since 2017, Cagedbirds Productions has affirmed the black, LGBT lived experience on screen and on stage. Through storytelling, we build community and spark conversations about public health issues that affect our people. We’re most known for our hit play, ‘When Boy's Exhale’ based on the movie ‘Waiting to Exhale’ which has travelled to DC, Nashville, Atlanta and Houston. We also produce the Uncaged Film Festival, an annual black, LGBT Filmmakers. We recently premiered our latest play, ‘GAY Love Jones’ in both DC and Houston. Founder & CEO

ANTHONY GREEN (WRITER/DIRECTOR) is from Memphis, TN. He
moved to DC to continue a career in sexual health as well as working as an
adjunct English professor. His debut book, #BlackGayStoriesMatter is
available on Amazon. Lamdba Literary ranks Anthony as one of the Top
Emerging LGBT playwrights. He has fellowships with Mayor Murial
Bowser's 202Creates and NASTAD's Minority Leadership Program.
Anthony recently won the Comedy Competition of DC Black Theater
Festival’s One Act Battle. and his queer, horror film 'The Souls of Black
Pebbles' is available on the iElevate App. He’s also the founder of
Cagedbirds Productions, LLC.
